Dining Room Team Leader

About this Role

With over 1,500 meals served daily onboard, our Dining Room staff are always in motion. They work closely with the Galley Team in preparing and cleaning the dining area, helping to serve meals, and overseeing the entire dining experience onboard. The Dining Room Team Leader has oversight of their team, making sure that service is excellent, meals are ready, and the team is trained.

What You Will Contribute

• Responsible for the oversight of the Dining Room team in preparation, meal service, and cleanup.

• Ensure the Dining Room team is trained in the procedures and safety factors of the equipment before use.

• Follow procedures as directed by the Food Services Manager.

• Assist the Food Services Manager.

• Attend departmental meetings on all workdays.

• Able to lift 30 lbs./14 kg. regularly and have endurance for physical labor activities including bending, kneeling, and walking up and down stairs.

• Prior work experience in a restaurant, catering, or cafeteria required.

• Prior leadership experience preferred, ideally in a restaurant or culinary setting.

• Culinary degree or relevant culinary training preferred. 

• Certificate in food handling and safety standards through ServSafe is required before service.
